The 3.5-inch screen is a crisp, vivid AMOLED glass touchscreen. It plays back 720p video, but unlike its bigger brother, the N8, it lacks Dolby sounds or an HDMI connection. Fortunately for a phone that's so Web-based, connectivity is pretty comprehensive, with Wi-Fi and 3G both on board to handle your online antics.
The camera shoots 720p video as well as 8-megapixel stills, with a fixed-focus lens. Fixed focus is a multi-purpose, one-size-fits-all approach. Everything between 1m and 50m from the camera will be in focus, but stills and videos do tend to look rather flat.
Pictures, video and media are stored on 8GB of built-in memory, with the option of up to 32GB more from a microSD card. Annoyingly, you have to take the back off the phone to change the microSD card, instead of slipping it into a handy slot.
